LONG-TERM GROUND LEASE FOR 11.5 ACRE SITE, Huntington Beach, CA
The County of Orange, California is seeking qualified Developers to enter into a long-term ground lease for a 11.5 acre site and situated in an industrial corridor of Huntington Beach, CA.
According to the City of Huntington Beach's 2011 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, the Top Manufacturers in the City include Boeing (4,069 employees), Quiksilver (1,230 employees), Cambro Manufacturing (951 employees), C & D Aerospace (555 employees), and Cleveland Golf (280 employees).
The site is a former landfill that was closed in June, 1962 in accordance with regulatory requirements at the time. Ongoing environmental monitoring is in place, which will become the successful Respondent's responsibility under the Ground Lease Agreement.
The County believes the Development Site is well-suited for a variety of uses including low-rise office buildings, distribution and warehousing, R&D facilities, light manufacturing, or commercial recreational use compatible with the Central Park Sports Complex.
