Sources Sought Notice: W912EF-17-Q-0111

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS and is for informational/market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS, NOR A SYNOPSIS OFA PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION UNDER FAR SUBPART 5.2. Proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed price contract. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon information received in response to this sources sought announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement or any follow up information. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. This is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Corps. The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potentially qualified Large and Small Businesses (SB),8(a), Small Disadvantage Business (SDB), Woman Owned Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), or HUBZone prime contractor business sources and their size classifications relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 332722 - Bolt, nut, screw, and washer manufacturing; small business size standard is 500 (number of employees). The Classification Code is 53. Depending upon the responses in the large and small business categories listed above, the solicitation will either be set aside in one of the latter categories or be issued as unrestricted open to both small and large businesses. Limitations on Subcontracting: The prime contractor, in accordance with FAR clause 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting paragraph(c)(3) General Construction will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. After review of the responses to this notice, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a separate solicitation announcement will be published in the FEDBIZOPPS (WW.FBO.GOV). Responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS are not adequate response to any future solicitation announcement.


Summary of Scope of Work:


This is a supply only requirement for the purchase of 15,000 Button Socket Head Screws for installation of the vertical barrier screens at Little Goose Lock and Dam.


In the event a solicitation is issued for this requirement the successful offeror shall be required to deliver 15,000 Button Socket Head Screws to Little Goose Lock and Dan by the date shown in the solicitation. It is required that all items be new, not used or previously manufactured. Little Goose Lock and Dam is located in Dayton Washington, 99328.


The specifications of the subject button head screws are as follows:


• Button Socket Head Screws shall be Craftech Industries model K200-202-5. Product shall be ½-13X1 manufactured from Ultem 1000(Natural). Ultem 1000 is a high performance engineering thermoplastic polymer


General Information


An approved equal may be acceptable for this requirement, however, before the acceptance of and "approved equal", the vendor will be required to submit a copy of the drawings, manufacturers catalog cuts, O&M manual, and specification sheets.


 


Interested firms should provide the following:


A) A list of current or past projects (at least 3) demonstrating technical experience and ability to provide Button Socket Head Screws. Provide a listing of clients with similar contracts, the dollar value of the contract, timeframe, and other details pertinent to this requirement. Include a statement detailing any special qualifications and certifications, applicable to the scope of this project, held by your firm and/or in-house personnel.
B) A reference list for each of the projects submitted in A) above. Include the name, title, phone number and email address for each reference.
C) Provide a statement that your firm intends to submit an offer on the project when it is advertised.
D) Cage Code and DUNS number.

Your response to this notice must be received on or before 12:30 PM Pacific time on 05 June, 2017.


All interested firms must be registered in SAM (https://www.sam.gov) and remain current for the duration of the contract to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
