The Kraft Community Nutrition Program is an initiative to increase the collection and distribution of donated non-shelf-stable food, including fresh produce, prepared food, and other perishable food.

The Kraft Community Nutrition Program encourages food banks, food-rescue, and gleaning organizations to increase their sustainable capacity to collect and distribute nutritious, non-shelf-stable foods. This Request for Proposal asks for information that requires an applicant to look closely at its operations and to form sound judgments about its needs and opportunities. The details you are asked to provide help Kraft identify the worthiest proposals among the many that are submitted. Kraft appreciates the substantial investment that applicants make in preparing proposals, which have now led to more than 600 awards by the Kraft Community Nutrition Program since 1997.

Kraft grants support more than fresh produce. Awards provide for the collection and distribution of nearly all non-shelf-stable foods, including produce, dairy, meat, seafood, prepared foods, frozen foods, and juice. Kraft supports a broad range of food banks and food-rescue organizations from small to large.
