Kidde T-500 Fire Trainer Annual Inspection & Maintenance

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services and/or supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is FA2543-14-T-0006 and is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The 460 CES/CEF has a requirement for preventive maintenance and replacement of parts for the Kidde T-500 Structural Fire Trainer at Buckley Air Force Bace (BAFB), Colorado, Building 17906. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform annual required adjustments and preventive maintenance parts replacements of the Kidde T-500 Structural Fire Trainer located at Building 17906 to ensure that the system is at a fully operational state. The contractor shall conduct field surveys, site investigations, and testing as necessary to provide a firm fixed price proposal. All work will be accomlished in accordance with the attached statement of work (SoW), dated 9 Mar 14.
The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular: 2005-72 Effective 30 Jan 14, DFARS DPN 20140331 Effective 31 Mar 14 and AFFARS AFAC 2013-Baseline Effective 27 Aug 13 and CPM 13-C-03. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 922160, and the Small Business Size Standards are not established for this sector. THIS REQUIREMENT IS BEING SOLICITED AS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE ONLY. HubZone, women owned, service disabled veteran owned, and small disadvantaged businesses are strongly encouraged to submit quotes. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract to the responsible Offeror whose lowest price and technically acceptable quote conforms to the solicitation. The Government will not reimburse any interested parties for monies spent to provide a response to the subsequent solicitation notice. Only technically acceptable offers will be considered. The Government intends to evaluate offers and make award without discussions; however, this does not preclude the Government from having discussions if it is in the best interest of the Government. All interested parties must bid on all items.
