The MidAmerica Regional Council (MARC) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the bi-state Kansas City metropolitan area. MARC assists local governments and public agencies working together to address problems that cross jurisdictional boundaries and to take advantage of opportunities to maximize resources by working together. MARC is assisting a broad coalition of health care stakeholders in the Kansas City community in the development of a regional health information exchange. The Kansas City Bi-State Health Information Exchange (KC-BHIE) is a developing organization and MARC serves as its fiscal agent.
