Joint Land Use Study
The goal of this JLUS is to encourage local governments and tribes, together with the State, to work closely with all naval installations to cooperatively identify and plan implementation measures that avoid, prevent and minimize the introduction of incompatible civilian development that may impair the continued operational utility of installations, to preserve and protect the public and ecosystem health, safety, and welfare of communities and ecosystems near the naval installations, and associated ranges, Military Training Routes, Special Use Airspace, and Military Operating Areas.
