Synopsis is for establishing a contract modification to existing contract FA8523-12-D-0003 to Ultra Electronics Inc (cage code 0B9D8) located in Austin TX.  This contract is for Contractor Logistics Support of the Joint Air Defense Systems Integrator (JADSI) AN/TSQ-214(V1A) system.  The Government contemplates extending the period of performance for this contract under the extension of services clause (FAR 52.217-8) Option to Extend Services clause which will allow for up to six months of services under referenced contract above.   There are no specifications, plans or drawings available to be provided by the Government for this effort.  A letter request for solicitation will be issued electronically but will not be posted to Fed Biz Ops.  The estimated solicitation issuance date will be 1 Sept 2017 with a response of 15 Sept 2017.  Authority:  10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) Justification for supplies or services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  Point of contact is Contracting Officer Lenora Pinkett, Telephone 478-926-7443 or email Lenora.pinkett@us.af.mil to communicate concerns regarding this acquisition.   If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear contracts that are not resolved through established channels.  The purposes of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel.  When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.  The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of the proposals in the source selection process.  When appropriate, potential offerors may contact Ombudsman Kimberly McDonald, Chief, Contracting Policy Division at 478-222-1088.  FedBizOps numbered notes 22 and 26 apply.
