THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES AT THE CHENA RIVER LAKES FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT OFFICE NEAR NORTH POLE, ALASKA. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. OFFERS OR PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THE NOTICE. THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, ALASKA DISTRICT IS CONDUCTING RESEARCH PRIOR TO RELEASING A SOLICITATION FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES AT THE CHENA RIVER LAKES FLOOD CONTROL OFFCE, NORTH POLE, ALASKA.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Janitorial contract to provide cleaning services at the Chena River Flood Control Project near North Pole, Alaska. The janitorial contractor shall provide all supervision, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation and other items necessary to perform the cleaning services required by the scope of work. Routine cleaning services will be required twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. Additional cleaning tasks will be required on a once monthly, twice yearly or once yearly basis. The facility is approximately 4,084 SF and includes a reception area, reception storage, administration hall, restrooms, kitchen, ADA restroom, employee entrance hall, Manager Office, Ranger Office, and two (2) maintenance shop offices.
The resulting purchase order will be firm fixed price. The Service Contract Act will apply. The performance period will be February 1, 2019 through January 31, 2020 for the base year. The purchase order schedule will include with two additional option years. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is anticipated to be between $25,000 and $100,000 for all three years combined.
If this contract action is cancelled, all proposal preparation costs shall be borne by the offeror. All offerors are advised that they must be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) to be eligible for a federal contract award. Offerors are advised to begin this process when they prepare their proposal in order to ensure registration is in place should they be selected for award.
The North American Industrial classification System (NAICS) code is 561720, which has a size standard of $18.0 million. Interested vendors are requested to respond to the primary point of contact by e-mail with the following information:
1. Company Name, Address, Point of Contact (including email address) and DUNS number. Indicate if the company has an active registration in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov).


2. Small Business status (for example, Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Woman-Owned, etc.).


3. Firm's interest as a prime contractor or subcontractor.


4. Relevant work experience with similar work (years and type of work)
