Item Tryout Scoring
The Department is currently developing new assessments
for implementation in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 school years. An item tryout, which will include
constructed response items and multiple-choice items, will be administered in April 2010.
This RFP is to solicit technical scope-of-work and cost proposals from potential vendors to (1) collect and
image the student item responses, (2) develop training materials for the constructed response scoring, (3)
score the multiple -choice and the constructed response items, (4) report item statistics for both the
multiple-choice and the constructed response items, (5) create raw-to-scale score conversion tables, and
(6) provide a technical report with appropriate documentation. The Department will provide the test materials
and/or online delivery of the assessment to the participating schools.
