Isolators Stainless Steel
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12 and 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
Synopsis/Solicitation N0017819Q6965 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
This requirement is not eligible for small business set-aside.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a Brand Name basis for the purchase of Isolators, manufactured by Hutchinson Aerospace & Industry, Inc., in accordance with the attached SF18 Request For Quote.
The isolators must be compatible in form, fit, and function with each other as well as the existing hardware within the anticipated operating environments for the systems. No other brand of isolators can produce the identical designs with the same processes to duplicate those designs for refinement. Any deviation will introduce unknown risk into the design, build and system install. Utilization of these commercial hardware components will reduce cost and shorten the development schedule for the program by minimizing the amount of engineering to the greatest extent possible. Attempting to redesign the system in order to accommodate another brand of hardware could result in a duplication of cost in excess of $20,000,000 and incur an unacceptable delay in the testing, fielding, and demonstration of the system.
In order to be considered for an award all interested vendors must be a Hutchinson authorized reseller or distributor and the quote must include a reseller or distributor authorization letter. Failure to provide this information could result in vendors being excluded from consideration.
Please include shipping/freight cost to Dahlgren, VA 22448-5114. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for award in accordance with FAR Part 12. The order shall be firm fixed price.
All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. At time of proposal submission please submit any historical data as well as published pricing. Award will be made based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable.
In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Offerors may obtain information on registration in SAM by calling 866-606-8220, or via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov.
