The purpose of Request for Proposal (RFP) #58805021 is to solicit proposals that will enable the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) to select the most qualified applicant to develop and produce mass media materials appropriate for statewide distribution; to conduct statewide media campaigns addressing issues related to problem gambling behavior; to promote the 1- 800-BETS OFF Helpline number as the link for Iowans to get in contact with gambling treatment and education services; and to provide information about the Iowa Gambling Treatment Program services, including its www.1800betsoff.org web site. This RFP is intended to address issues presented in the problem gambling section of Chapter 20, Substance Abuse and Problem Gambling, in the Healthy Iowans 2010 Plan (accessible on the web site at
http://www.idph.state.ia.us or a hard copy can be obtained from the Iowa Department of Public Health).
