Invitation to Bid �" Police Uniforms
The City Police Department is seeking sealed bids to establish a possible three-year agreement to
supply police uniforms. The agreement will allow for an annual adjustment to the original bid based upon
changes in the consumer price index for all urban consumers all goods and or changes in price based upon
changes in the manufacturer’s charges to the vendor.
The intent of this bid invitation is to secure pricing for a standard approved uniform set for Class A uniforms.
Each of the 75 uniformed police officers receives a yearly clothing allotment of $425.00 to purchase and
replace uniform items as needed. Purchases will be made by the individual officer using a VISA issued City purchasing card. The successful vendor must accept these cards as payment without any
additional card processing fees added. While the specifications refer to specific uniform brands and models,
the City will consider alternative brands and models; however, the vendor will be responsible to demonstrate
to the satisfaction of the City that the items bid meets or exceeds the brands specified in quality and
workmanship.
