NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT SOLE SOURCE
The Defense Logistics Agency, Troop Support, Philadelphia, PA Medical Directorate intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to Planmeca U.S.A. Inc., 100 Gary Ave, STE A, Roselle IL,60172-1687 for the procurement of the following brand name intra oral dental x-ray systems, software, and digital sensors:

This order for brand name intra oral dental x-ray systems, software, and digital sensors will be placed on a sole source basis with Planmeca U.S.A. Inc. as the following circumstance in FAR 13.106-1(b) applies: only one source is capable of providing the supplies required at the level of quality required because the supplies are unique or highly specialized. The intra oral dental x-ray systems, software, and digital sensors are for training doctors on Planmeca U.S.A. Inc. intra oral brand name dental x-ray systems which are in place at multiple Army sites. The absence of these intra oral dental x-ray systems will stop scheduled training from being performed. Thus, only the exact brand name intra oral dental x-ray systems cards will meet the customer's needs.
The estimated value of this contract is $123,727.70. Delivery schedule will be discussed prior to issuing the delivery order. The anticipated award date is March 30, 2018. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, that all responsible sources and interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting technical data for this requirement data within 7 calendar days of this notice posting (no later than March 21, 2018), by 12:00 PM EST, to Ryan Jeffries, via email at ryan.jeffries@dla.mil , which shall be considered by the agency. Please note telephone calls will not be honored. DLA Troop Support intends to solicit this requirement orally in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(c), thus no written solicitation will be issued.
