Interpretive Master Plan
The Commission issues this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals from qualified individuals or firms for the research and writing of an Interpretive Master Plan. Commission seeks an interpretive planning firm that has proven experience with the development of interpretive plans for history-related venues, including military sites, archeological collections use and exhibit design specifications, to develop a Master Interpretive Plan.. The site includes a wide variety of historic 19th century military fort structures. Preference will be given to vendors who have completed interpretive planning projects for historic properties in general, and more specifically with sites related to 19th century military history and Indian Wars period sites, and a creative use of restored historic structures and archeological collections. The goal for the new Interpretive Master Plan is to determine what interpretive services and techniques will best communicate the most important stories, ideas, values and meanings of the site to the visiting public.
