NYnet wishes to award a contract for 2 years with two options to extend for a further 12 months each for the provision of an Internet feed. NYnet plans to expand its existing Internet capacity by connecting Internet feeds to its Core MPLS network at no more than 2 PoPs. The tender is divided in to a core requirement and an optional requirement:
Core requirement: a managed solution for a single Internet link.
Optional requirement: managed solution for a resilient Internet feed.
The optional requirement may or may not be awarded depending on costs tendered and the budget NYnet has available. Tenderers must offer the core requirement, but the optional requirement is not compulsory. The contract will be awarded on the basis of the core requirement. The optional requirement may then be taken up with the successful supplier, depending upon the solutions suitability and affordability.
