Intermodal Terminal Operations and Capacity Assessment
The Council is requesting qualified firms to assess three alternative sites to provide access to commuter rail services operated within existing rail freight corridors on shared or new tracks and develop operating plans and recommended capital improvements necessary to provide safe, efficient passenger movement with FRA compliant vehicles while preserving (if not enhancing) freight rail capacity. Respondents are requested to discuss their expertise in the necessary areas listed in the RFQ. The consultant (team) will be required to have knowledge and expertise in many areas; therefore, recommended criteria for the consultants on this project have been outlined.
