Interceptor

The Plan Update (Facility Plan) includes the Interceptor project as deficient in capacity and the Outfall Interceptor is nearing capacity. To relieve these interceptors the Interceptor project was initiated. The project was broken into three phases, the first two of which are now constructed and complete. The scope for this Phase 3 includes installation of 2,000 LF of new 42-64 and 6,000 LF of new 66 diameter pipe using mostly trenchless technology extending from the siphon structure to just north of the Boulevard. Current opinion of probable construction cost is $11.5 million and it is anticipated that the construction of this final phase will take approximately 16 months with a completion date mid 2011.
