Intent to Sole Source for Fiber Cabling Support
INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ORDER
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), on behalf of Treasury's Departmental Offices (DO) Enterprise Consolidation Initiative (ECI) intends to award a sole source order to Progressive Technologies Inc. for fiber cables and services. The authority permitting a sole source acquisition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Only One Responsible Source. This will be a one-time purchase. According to the market research conducted, Progressive Technologies Inc. is the only authorized dealer who meets the Panduit certification requirements in an around the Memphis TN area, as well as being certified and authorized to perform warranty and repair.
The Department of Treasury Departmental Offices ECI needs to establish an IT Infrastructure Operations Support Services (IOSS) Contract to support the ACIO for Infrastructure Operations and to meet current and emerging operational requirements for the DO IT Infrastructure. Treasury's DO ECI, Memphis Data Center location requires contractor resources with IT service capabilities and experience to successfully operate, maintain, and improve the IT Infrastructure Operations for the Departmental Offices.
No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received no later than July 11, 2014, 12PM EST. Responses shall be submitted to [email protected]. Responses shall include, at a minimum, the following information:
1. The name of your company;
2. Company DUNS No.;
3. POC name and contact information;
4. The specific product(s) that your company offers that fulfills the same function as the items to be included on this order or evidence that your company is capable of providing a renewal for the specific items mentioned above; and,
5. A description of that product(s) and its overall capabilities.
It is your responsibility to demonstrate how your product(s) is capable of providing the same functionality that exists with the fiber cables and services mentioned above. The Government will not seek additional information from your company if you fail to provide sufficient evidence of having a product capable of meeting the Government's needs. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government's Contracting Officer. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
