The US Army, Army Contracting Command -New Jersey (ACC-NJ) Joint Armaments Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 08706-5000 in support of the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ARDEC) is seeking information on Integrated Model Based Engineering (iMBE) software platforms that can reduce design and development cycle time on Armament Science and Technology (S&T) Projects from concepting to prototyping.

ARDEC has begun a focused research program called iMBE Environment that will support the development of requirements for an iMBE software platform that can streamline the flow of data and information between engineers, models and software applications across engineering disciplines and the product development lifecycle. This RFI seeks to inform the Government of existing and promising iMBE software platform technologies that would provide the desired integration and interoperability of model based engineering software applications and tools. The iMBE software platform should be tool agnostic and allow for a multitude of tools from different vendors to be integrated.

Information of interest include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Integration with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) software tools in areas of Requirements and SysML.

2. Integration with Mechanical and Electronic Computer Aided Design (MCAD/ ECAD) software tools.

3. Integration with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software tools in areas of Structural Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) Analysis, and Multi-Body Dynamic Analysis.

4. Integration with Product Data Management (PDM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) systems.

5. Level of integration between the iMBE software platform and software applications.
