Integrated CATV/DATA Services Atlanta
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Information Technology Services Office (ITSO), intends to award a sole source contract to Comcast, for fully integrated CATV/Data services at the CDC's Roybal (Clifton Road), Chamblee and Century Center campuses in the Atlanta, Georgia metro area.
The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1- only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 517110, Wired Telecommunications Carriers.
The CDC has performed market research in the area and Comcast was the only service provider that could provide fully integrated CATV/Data services in the locations mentioned on the scale necessary. Comcast, therefore, is the sole source for this requirement.
As a result of this synopsis, no competitive solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps. We will issue only one solicitation to Comcast. However, all responsible sources that believe they can meet these requirements may submit their capabilities/qualifications statement to provide these services to Mike Davis VIA EMAIL ONLY at VWL8@CDC.GOV with the solicitation number 78107 referenced in the subject line NO LATER THAN November 7th, 2014. The Contracting Officer will not respond to verbal requests. ALL REQUESTS MUST BE IN WRITING.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action will be based on responses to this notice and are solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
