The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure the continued development, repair, and procurement of Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System (GPS/INS) and Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) systems. The vendor will provide GPS receivers having the current form, fit, function and capabilities to conduct the efforts required by the Battle Management System (BMS) program, and they are the sole supplier of the Advanced Tactical Navigator (ATACNAV) system. Additionally, no other GPS units have the firmware or operational software compatible with the BMS fire control and weapon control systems. The vendor currently has the proprietary rights of the firmware that is being used on the fielded units in the fleet.
NSWCDD will procure this support on a sole-source basis from Applied Systems Engineering, Inc., 1480 Hickory Street, Suite 106, Niceville, FL 32578-9780.
The North American Industry Classification System code is 334519, size standard is 500 employees. This is not a request for competitive proposals.
