Institute of Transportation Engineers Learning Hub Courses
Pursuant to 13.106-1(b), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to solicit from a single source with the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) to provide online access to the Institute of Transportation Engineers Learning Hub Courses. FHWA requirement is to provide on-line training for smaller local and all tribal transportation technical staff in basic construction and engineering fields such as: traffic engineering, traffic safety, roadway design, transportation operations, transportation planning, and intelligent transportation systems.
The ITE Learning Hub web-based on-line training modules covering a variety of topics in the three primary disciplines. As a national resource, ITE helps states, local government, and industry save money at a critical time of infrastructure investment through course development, web-based trainings, information, and resource sharing that is available at substantially reduced cost. All 50 state DOTs have used the ITE web-based training resources.
The intent of this notice is not to request competitive proposals, and any information received from interested parties will only be considered solely for determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted. However, interested parties may submit a description of their firm's capabilities for satisfying this requirement, which demonstrates they possess the ability to successfully perform this effort. The response must be received by November 20, 2019 at 12:00pm Eastern Time.
