Installation of Renewable Energy in Schools
The goal of this program is to increase consumer awareness and education concerning the
energy and money savings associated with renewable systems. The company has proposed an Installation Grant Awards. Educational institution will be required to install a minimum of 2kW solar and or wind system, or a minimum 2kW extension to an existing system, or lighting package will be eligible for a grant of up to $30,000. Educational institution may or may not contribute additional funds for the project.
The grants are available for the installation of a
range of renewable energy generation, and energy efficiency measures, including one of the
following packages:
Up to 1 kW Wind turbine & 1 kW Solar(s)
Up to 2 kW Solar Panel(s)
Up to 2 kW Wind turbine
Or a lighting upgrade and sensors, timers and thermostats package
