Install new water meters and backflow preventers
Work includes, but is not limited to: contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment and supervision to remove existing 3 inch piping and valves in order to install (2) new 2" backflow preventers, (2) new water meter in series with the existing city water meters; install 4 new 2" ball valves on the domestic water booster pump; install (2) pressure reducing valves on the domestic water booster pump and install all new piping and insulation in order to install new meters and backflow preventers. All work will be performed at the Federal Building, Aberdeen, South Dakota. Security clearances will be required for all workers. Work to be completed within 30 calendar days after notice to proceed. Estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $150,000. The solicitation will be issued at www.fbo.gov on July 24, 2014, with offers due on August 15, 2014. Anticipated award date is August 30, 2014. Information regarding a site visit will be announced in the solicitation. This procurement is being set-aside for small businesses only. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov. All responsible sources submitting an offer will be considered. A site visit is recommended.
