Demo and Install Mechanical Room
The W.G. Bill Hefner Department of Veterans Affairs, 1601 Brenner Ave., Salisbury, NC has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license and qualified supervision for Mechanical Room Demo and Install at the W.G. Bill Hefner Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salisbury, NC.
General Scope: The Contractor MUST provide ALL work to include a complete and finished product to include (if appropriate but not limited to) all electrical disconnections and reconnections, all cover plates, finish trim, certifications, training, etc.
Work shall include, but not be limited to:
Demo of existing heat exchanger, expansion tank, pump, associated components and piping back to point discussed at walk through.
Provide & Install B&G hang heat exchanger.
Provide & Install new hot water pump B&G E1531 expansion tank.
Install steam supply with control valve to heat exchanger.
Install steam drip trap in front of control valve and process steam trap to serve heat exchanger.
Install existing water supply to expansion tank.
Install supply and return water lines to and from heat exchanger.
Install recirculating pump with Variable Frequency Drive.
Provide and install wiring to pump and VFD.
Verify, test, start-up and commission the units.
Provide & Install 1 B= fiberglass insulation on disturbed and new piping and equipment

Estimated construction magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000.

This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about July 30th, 2019. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation.
