Synopsis. This is a Sources Sought announcement; a market survey for information only to be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND A CONTRACT WILL NOT BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. Small business, Section 8(a), HUB Zone, WOSB and SDVOSB businesses are highly encouraged to participate. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The Government will use responses to this sources sought to make an appropriate acquisition decision.


The 145th Airlift Wing will be issuing a solicitation and awarding a firm-fixed price contract for the inspection, cleaning, and repair of several oil water separator systems at the Charlotte, NC location as well as the New London, NC location. This contract is subject to the availability of funds.

Description of project. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of nine (9) oil water separator systems consisting of oil water separator tanks, pretreatment devices, catch basins, piping, valves, and associated alarm systems. The contractor shall dispose of the systems' contents at an appropriate disposal site or treatment facility that complies with all local, State, and Federal regulations regarding hazardous and non-hazardous disposal. The contractor shall provide a written report upon completion of all work.


Request that all interested and capable concerns provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a proposal not later than 9:00 am EST on Monday, 1 August 2016. Site visit information will be included in the solicitation, when posted.


In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.
