Information Technology Consultants Spring-Fed Pool Refresh No. 1
On January 1, 2011, the Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB) of CalPERS established the Information Technology Consultants Spring-Fed Pool. CalPERS now seeks to refresh the IT Consultants Spring Fed Pool by soliciting proposals from qualified information technology service providers (herein called Proposers) that can provide varied and specialized services in order to add to the existing pool. The goal of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to refresh the Spring-Fed Pool of best-value information technology service providers from which CalPERS can draw on an as-needed basis. The 5 year contract period for the pool will end on December 31, 2015. The overall goal in augmenting the Spring-Fed Pool of information technology consultants is to continue to provide CalPERS with: Competitive cost for IT consulting services Competitive selection of contractors based on evaluated criteria Simplification of procurement for necessary services Reduction in delay in meeting needs and/or in completing projects Employment of flexible/adaptable/streamlined processes and technology Expedition and improvement of services to all CalPERS customers (internal and external) Note: The IT Spring-Fed Pool is a different procurement method than the CalPERS Vendor Pool. The IT Spring-Fed Pool is used strictly for IT consulting services.
