The Naval Medical Research Unit Dayton (NAMRU-D) is conducting a funded biomechanics study needing a contractor with a background in spine biomechanics, workplace stress, and the effects of mental demands. This study requires the understanding of psychosocial/mental loads and their effect on spinal loads, muscle forces, and coactivation.
The project discussed is titled:
•· "Influence of cognitive workload and personality type on muscular coactivation of the cervical spine" PoP end date: 30 SEPT 2022
The objective is to use the biomechanical and psychosocial measurements from the project to build a structural model to understand and identify inter-relations between personal factors, intermediate responses, and biomechanical responses.
