This is a notice for Market Research Information ONLY to obtain best industry practices concerning full food services. NO AWARD will be made from this notice. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will be hosting an Industry Day for the food service industry at Clarksburg, WV on January 6, 2015. The purpose this Industry Day is to obtain information from the food service community pertaining to best practices for operating and maintaining cafeteria style dining facilities. No award will be made from this Request for Information (RFI). No solicitation, specifications, or drawings are available at this time. Background The Criminal Justice Information Services Division (CJIS) has approximately 2,400 employees. By late 2015, total population of employees and contractors with access to the cafeteria-style dining facility on the campus located at 1000 Custer Hollow Road, Clarksburg, West Virginia (WV) will be approximately 3,000. Due to the distance and scarcity of alternative food options, many employees utilize the food services on a daily basis. The FBI would like to offer all patrons high quality, healthy dining options. The food service facilities include a cafeteria in the main building of the CJIS Division campus, International Conference Room, and the newly constructed Biometric Technology Center scheduled for occupancy mid-year 2015. The cafeteria in the main building of the CJIS Division campus occupies approximately 24,980 square feet (sf) and is centrally located on the ground floor of the Main Complex. This includes the following areas: Food preparation area (8,700 sf), serving area (7,650 sf), and dining area (8,000 sf). The approximate size of the potential second location adjacent to the main building is 11,200 sf. The FBI is interested in obtaining information from contractors who have experience in providing food services in a cafeteria setting. This Industry Day will be an open forum to discuss contract type, term, menu, and service. The FBI is interested in discussing options for changing its traditional cafeteria into a place where employees can enjoy a quality food and the contractor can execute a success operation. Contractors who have experience providing all administrative management, supervision, labor, meal planning, ordering of food products, unloading, storage, preparation, serving, clean up and facility maintenance are preferred, but all are welcome to attend.
