Industry Day - C-130J Block 8.1 Retrofit CKI Installation Industry Day

The C-130J Program Office will host an Industry Day for industry vendors and Government stakeholders interested in the C-130J Commercial Kit Installation competition. The event will be held 11 October 2017 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EDT at the Defense Acquisition University facility, 3100 Research Blvd, Kettering OH 45420. We will be located in Pod 4, Classrooms 105/106.

The United States Government (USG) will provide introductory briefings in an open environment followed by an opportunity for private one-on-one discussions with industry parties, upon request, in the afternoon (1:00 PM to 4:30 PM) at 30 minute intervals.

You must register to attend this event. Please use the attached registration form (attachment 1) to note all the members from your organization that plan to attend. Send this form to AFLCMC.WLNN.ContractingBU8.1@us.af.mil no later than COB 6 October 2017. Due to space constraints, the number of attendees per vendor is limited to three (3) individuals. If you would like to schedule a one-on-one session with the C-130J CKI team, please indicate your preferred 30 minute time slot (between 1300 and 1600) on the registration form sent to AFLCMC.WLNN.ContractingBU8.1@us.af.mil. Please include "USG C-130J Block 8.1 CKI Industry Day" in the subject line of your email. This will be on a first come, first serve basis. The USG will make every effort to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee you will be granted your time preference. All attendees must have a valid State Driver's License/ID for a request to be successfully processed.

Vendors may submit any pre-Industry Day questions to: AFLCMC.WLNN.ContractingBU8.1@us.af.mil

31 Aug 2017-RFI#1 Amendment

18 Aug 2017-RFI#1 under FA8625-17-R-7XXX w/attachments
The United States Air Force (USAF) is officially conducting market research that will be used to assess the ability of companies and industry at large to perform the receipt, induction, preparation, installation, quality assurance, functional checks, and return to service of a major Block Update modification to the USG C-130J fleet. Demonstrated abilities will consist of the full range of methods, technologies and supporting activities - including receiving and handling of parts, repair handling, data management, configuration management responsive to kit changes over time, logistics, and overall project management/reporting - in accordance with technical and regulatory requirements.

Data collected will become the property of the USAF and will be used to provide a snapshot of how businesses who participated are capable of providing Block Update Kit Installation services. The data collected may be shared with other Services and agencies but will not be shared with any entity outside of the USG.

All questions refer to the description of the Block Upgrade 8.1 Modification and the general description of work included as attachments with this Request for Information (RFI).

Thank you for your participation.
