Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) a National Laboratory and Federally Funded Research and Development Center RDC) operated by The Trustees of Princeton University, a US Department of Energy Prime Contractor wishes to solicit proposals in response to Request for Proposal (RFP) 19-105C for an independent cost estimate (ICE) for the removal, packaging and disposition of tritium contaminated materials, systems, and components located at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, 100 Stellarator Road, James Forrestal Campus, US Route 1 North, Princeton, NJ.

The scope of work is for the preparation of an independent cost estimate only. No removal and disposal work is being procured under this solicitation.


The performance period of the project is 75 calendar days after date of award.


This procurement is unrestricted, full and open. The applicable NAICS Code is 562910, Environmental Remediation Services.


PPPL intends to award a firm fixed-price subcontract to the offeror submitting the lowest priced, technically acceptable proposal.

A Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Visit will be held at 10:00 AM EST, Tuesday, 30 July 2019. Attendance is pre-requisite for proposal submission. Proposals are due to PPPL by 4:00 PM EST, Thursday, 15 August 2019.


This announcement shall not commit PPPL to issue a subcontract for this effort, or to pay any costs incurred by offerors in the preparation and submittal of proposals in response to this RFP.
