Project Information: The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Galveston District (SWG) plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to procure hopper dredging services under an unrestricted MATOC with a target of four contracts in the pool. The MATOCs will address unanticipated shoaling within any of the six deep draft channels (i.e. hurricane, tropical storms, etc.). It involves six (6) deep draft channels project, as follows: 1. Corpus Christi Entrance Channel in Nueces County, TX; 2. Matagorda Entrance Channel in Calhoun County, TX; 3. Brazos Island Harbor in Cameron County, TX; 4. Freeport Harbor in Freeport & Brazoria Counties, TX; 5. Galveston Entrance Channel in Galveston County, TX; 6. Sabine Neches Waterway in Jefferson County, TX and Cameron Parish, LA. All these locations are along the Texas coast. The RFP will utilize a Technically Acceptable (TA) acquisition procedures. The proposed MATOCs will be Firm-Fixed Price (FFP). The contract performance period is for a total of five years with a 12-month base period of performance ($5M) and four 12-month option periods ($5M each) for a total value of
$25 Million all MATOCs combined.

The solicitation is advertised as "Unrestricted" full and open competition for both large and small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $30 Million (Dredging).


The solicitation will be issued on or about 9 August 2019. Response date is 9 September 2019 @ 2:00 PM (CST) (All proposals must be submitted electronically via www.FBO.gov). The estimated award date for this project is September 2019.
