1.    PURPOSE & DISCLAIMER


The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit input from the industry regarding COTS configurable Catalog Software for the creation and maintenance of an In-House Catalogue of Commercial products approved for purchase to support, Compliance, Standardization, Approval, and Inventory workflows in the ordering of video journalism and software licenses prior to submission into a Federal Financial Management System and Contract Bidding.


This RFI is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as either a solicitation or obligation on the part of the Government. This is NOT solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or quotations. No solicitation document exists, and a formal solicitation may or may not be issued by the Government as a result of the responses received to this RFI. The Government will not pay for any response or demonstration expenses. Any information received will become the property of the Government and will not be returned to the submitter.


Based on the response to this RFI a determination to compete or not to compete a future procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. In the event a Solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of interested firms to monitor the FedBizOpps website for additional information pertaining to this RFI or a future Solicitation. This Notice is not a RFP, IFB, or RFQ.


2.    BACKGROUND


VOA needs to transition from a SharePoint Word Document Catalog for video journalism equipment and a stand-alone excel database for software licenses to a Cloud or on-prem. catalog through Active Directory Single Sign On. A sample of the Word Document catalogue as it exists now is at the end of this document.
