Implementation of Google Transit RFQ
The Local Transportation Authority (LTA) is soliciting qualifications from independent
firms to provide assistance in the implementation of Google Transit for its public transit service,
County Express. Services being sought include the following:
• Coding all current County Express routes and bus stops to meet General Transit Feed
Specification (GTSF) for Google Transit
• Fully validate GTSF through Google Feed Validator Program
• Coordinate feed and do internal testing with Google
• Coordinate a soft launch and create survey to monitor initial usage of Google Transit and
report to the LTA its findings
• Monitor and troubleshoot anomalies as they appear
• Prepare and furnish the LTA an easy to read manual to update and maintain feed to
Google without the use of proprietary software. If a firm indicates that the use of
proprietary software would be required for updates, this does not disqualify the
Statement of Qualifications; however, further negotiation will be required.
