Idaho Panhandle NF, Bonners FerryRD, Place Creek AOP
Bonners Ferry Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests (IPNF) will solicit for Placer Creek AOP. This project includes removal of an existing 36in CMP and replacing with a 112 in X 75 in pipe arch. Constructing a stream channel through the pipe and installing grade controlling structures upstream and downstream of the pipe. This work also includes reconstructing the road as well as the jct near the pipe to achieve min. cover over the pipe, replacing damaged ditch relief pipe near the jct and resurfacing the reconstructed section of road. The remaining work will be to fix 8 small fill failures on the 2540 road within 0.8 miles of the pipe. The work will include acquiring riprap and trees or rootwads from a government source, hauling to the site and placing at the failures to stabilize the slope and redirect stream flows near the repairs. The project location may be reached by taking Hwy 95 North out of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; travel along Hwy 95 N for approx. 3 miles, and turn East onto Hwy 2; continue approx. 10.5 mi and turn right (east) onto Road 2541. After approx. 1.25 mi project area begins. rice range between $25,000 and $100,000. Estimated start September, 2014 and complete by October 31, 2014. Solicitation to be issued on or around July 24, 2014.
