IT Consulting Services for Dept of Workforce Services CATS Program
The purpose of this RFP is to enter into a contract with a qualified firm to provide
information technology consulting services for the Utah Department of Workforce
Services. The Department of Technology Services provides information technology
support to the Utah Department of Workforce Services and other executive branch state
agencies. The specialized information technology consulting services needed for this
project at the Utah Department of Workforce Services are to:
- develop new functions as needed by the user for the Contributions Automated Tax
System (CATS) web application; and
- provide on-going support of the CATS web application; and
- assist the LAN staff with tuning and trouble-shooting hardware and network problems
when they affect the CATS web site; and
- provide support with the interfaces to other unemployment applications and the CATS
web application. (These include the Computerized Unemployment Benefits System
(CUBS), the Utah Job Search web site (UWORKS), and the Department of Workforce
Service data warehouse); and
- provide database/query tuning for the above applications/environments; and
- conduct troubleshooting and problem resolution for CUBS, CATS, UWORKS, data
warehouse; and
- assist the users and other developers with the design of functions and features as
needed; and
- create stored procedures for each of the above applications/environments; and
- provide training and mentoring to DTS/DWS developers; and
- provide status reports to management and supervisors.
