IR Augmentation Kits
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following items: 1) IR Augmentation Kits, Qty. 1 Lot. The augmentation kits provide custom-fitted heat strips for installing directly onto surrogate targets and a control system for modifying the energy being applied to the heat strips. This will realistically simulate the heat signature of an actual target. The control system interfaces to a government-developed control system that provides additional surrogate target functionality. This requirement is sole sourced to EWA Government Systems, Inc., 13873 Park Center Road, 5th Floor, Herndon, Virginia 20171 as the only vendor able to produce these parts, which are guaranteed to fit the surrogate targets correctly and to interface to existing control systems without modifications to existing government systems. Any firms believing that they can provide the materials may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the materials without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
