The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following items: 1) ViaSat IP Network Encryptors Qty 4 EA. This requirement is sole sourced to ViaSat Inc., 6155 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, California 92008 as the only vendor able to produce this part due to ViaSat KG-250x In-Line Encryption devices are required to be able to provide NSA approved Type-1 encryption in support of the warfighter. KG-250x's are small portable encryption devices that allow Type-1 classified data and communications to be encrypted to be transferred over the air through Radio Frequency by any standard data link. ViaSat KG-250x has an operating temperature limit of 60 degrees celsius. Any firms believing that they can provide ViaSat IP Network Encryptors may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the ViaSat IP Network Encryptors without causing programmatic hardship.
