IP Address Management

The University is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for IP Address Management.
Our goal is to consolidate these diverse servers into an enterprise level, highly available environment with greater visibility, permissions control, and management capabilities. We need a solution that is accessible to IT staff in all departments, allows those departmental IT managers to manage their zones on their time schedule, and also has highly granular permissions. The IPAM solution must also be able to meet the growing enrollment and future DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and device registration needs of MSU.
MSU has a heterogeneous environment of DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory (AD) servers running on a variety of platforms across eight departments including the Information Technology Center (ITC). Current IP addressing is managed by an INIT program. MSU has an extensive and expanding network of Aruba Wireless controllers. Any solution must seamlessly integrate with the existing wireless network. ITC DHCP servers provide the IP space for the Aruba controllers and the controllers are in pass-through mode. There is a possibility that the Aruba controllers will be switched to a NAT configuration in the near future.
