The SCAN Foundation requests proposals for the development and dissemination of curricula for continuing education for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) in California. These Direct Care Workers (DCWs) provide day-to-day, personal care to seniors in the community and long-term care (LTC) settings.

In developing this RFP the Foundation commissioned a set of perspective papers to provide a framework for a discussion with key stakeholders in Sacramento, California in August 2009. The outcome greatly informed the development of this RFP.
