The Department receives an annual
grant that is used to fund an Intensive Supervision
Program for court adjudicated
delinquent youth.
These funds are to be used for early intervention services and/or services to serious,
chronic offenders.
The County ISP will provide services for up to 10 youth at a time, ages
10- 17, who are adjudicated delinquent and at high risk for outofhome
placement.
The implementation of this program should result in a decrease in delinquency
referrals among those youth served, placing fewer highrisk
delinquent youth in State
Corrections or RCCs, and improving the decisionmaking
ability of the youth in the
program, resulting in better compliance with court orders.
Auxiliary benefits include better performance and behavior of the youth in school
settings, and empowering parents and social worker effectiveness.
