NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a short-term delivery (3-6 months), of a specialized solid-state laser. The specifications are provide for this synopsis/solicitation below. Center Wavelength (vacuum): 1064.1-1064.5nm Beam quality: Collimated; M2 < 1.5 Q switch type: Active-Q switch (Trigger in or out should be available) Pulse width: 3ns~50ns (doesn't have to be variable, ~30ns preferable) Rep rate: 5 KHz (min) ~10kHz (doesn't have to be variable) (10 KHz preferred) Energy: 1~2mJ/pulse (>1mJ (min); 2 mJ desired) Linewidth: Single longitudinal mode, transform limited. Polarization: linear Polarization extinction ratio: 20 db (desired) Operating conditions: standard lab environment (10 to 30 oC) and commercial aircraft cabin environment. Maximum size: ~3 sq ft for the main optical module (specify power supply dimensions) Cooling system: air convection preffered (water cooling acceptable but not desired) Timing jitter (wrt the trigger signal): less than the pulse width (e.g.
