This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Implementation of Immunization Program
Registry. The purpose of the RFP
is to replace the immunization registry with a
modern fully functional immunization registry. The old system was developed in 1995 and is
now aging and fails to meet the demands of a fully functional immunization registry. The
system is supposed to serve as the data backbone of the Immunization Program and a
resource used by the Department and medical providers to store and recall individual immunization
information. The registry also supports Public Health Preparedness activities such as the
ongoing 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic.
The Division prefers a COTS customizable solution because the timeline dictated by the
funding is unlikely to sustain a build option. Preference will be given to solutions that
have been successfully implemented in other states.
