The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), Division of Applied Regulatory Science has a requirement to obtain electrophysiology and contractility data using adult primary human ventricular tissues from healthy donors for a number of drugs that perturb cardiac functions based on clinical data. Outcomes of this contract will enable better understanding of the cellular mechanisms of drug-induced cardiotoxicity. This contract is thus consistent with the FDA's mission of protecting public health by ensuring the safety and efficacy of drugs available to the American public.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.


This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 procedures. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2019-05. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition is 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services.
