The Forest Service anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price construction contract for the demolition and replacement of the Taxiway pavement at the USFS Air Tanker Base. Physical location of the construction will be 11569 N. Airport Drive, Hayden, ID 83835. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies (other than for those listed as Government-furnished items) and supervision necessary to complete all required construction.



The work includes but is not limited to removing and disposing of existing concrete and asphalt, excavation and embankment, compaction, furnishing and placing aggregate base courses, hot mix asphalt concrete, cast-in-place concrete and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications.


The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238990 commercial and institutional building construction and the small business size standard is $15 million, set-aside 100% for small business. Per FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.


A Preproposal Meeting is scheduled for May 3, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. PST, USFS Air Tanker Base, 11569 Airport Dr, Hayden, ID 83835. See Section L-13, AGAR 452-237-71 Pre-Bid/Pre-Proposal Conference.
