Hydrology Restoration on WRP Easement - Marshall County, Kentucky - NRCS
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation advertising the solicitation package of an upcoming project. The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) intends to solicit for award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) construction contract to enhance functions and restore wetland hydrology on a Wetland Reserve Easement in Marshall County, Kentucky. Request for quotes (RFQ) are being solicited using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13.
The estimated value of this project is Less than $25,000.
The work shall consist of restoring the hydrology on the site by constructing a shallow
water area by use of an embankment dike, breaking an existing tile line, and construction
of a stream crossing.
Major items to be installed as part of or incidental to this wetland
restoration project include:
Clearing - 10 acres
Seeding & Mulching - 2.0 acres;
Earthfill - 2640 CY
Excavation, Tile Break - 1 each
Plastic Pipe 8 inch diameter Sch 40 PVC - 90 LF
Inline Water Control Structure - 1 each
Rock riprap - 66 ton.
The project is located in Marshall County, Kentucky between the communities of Hardin
and Mahon, northwest of the intersection of HWY 402 and HWY 962. Site is adjacent
on the east bank of Clarks River.
This procurement is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside.
Performance time is estimated to be 29 calendar days.
No bonds are required.
