The purpose of this contract is to cut down hazard trees along roads on the Hume Lake Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest (SQF). The Contractor shall provide everything necessary to complete this project, including but not limited to, all equipment, supplies, labor, transportation, and supervision- except for items that the contract clearly states are to be furnished by the Government. The desired end result for this project is to abate the threat of hazard trees to public safety.

The Contractor shall achieve this objective by felling trees; and buck and limb the felled trees so they lie safely on the ground. Any trees or parts of trees that fall on roads, trails, and private property shall be moved back on to the forest. Project slash and debris shall be bucked, and lopped and scattered where necessary for safety.
