Hosted Email Solution
The Library is taking proposals from qualified vendors to provide/resell hosted email services equivalent to Gmail service from Google Apps. The proposed solution must be eligible for E‐Rate funding. Our user base consists of 700 users spread across the District’s 20 locations, which includes our central Library Headquarters. The library desires increased message storage capacity, improved DR preparedness, reduced mail server support time and improved staff productivity by providing better email technology.
Specific Solution Requirements:
1.
25 Gig of storage space for every user.
2.
Active Directory integration for enterprise wide single sign‐on.
3.
Dynamic search capability of email history.
4.
User “tagging” of messages for grouping by contact and subject.
5.
Must provide a full featured Web interface as well as MS Outlook client usability.
6.
SAS 70 Type I and Type II Security Certification

Spam and Virus protection
We also seek quotations of services outside of E‐Rate eligibility, specifically Message Archiving & Discovery for a 10 year period. All proposals must be submitted with the understanding that implementation may be dependent on budgetary requirements, pending E‐Rate approval. SLCL reserves the right to reject any or all bids without explanation. SLCL reserves the right to cancel or postpone this process due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the E‐Rate program.
