QUOTERS ARE REMINDED TO READ THE SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS IN SECTION L.10 ON PAGE 31 OF THE RFQ DOCUMENT.  SUBMISSION OF QUOTES INCLUDES A NARRATIVE SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION FOR THE TWO NON-PRICE EVALAUTION FACTORS (CAPABILITY AND PAST PERFORMANCE).  FAILURE TO SUBMIT THIS INFORMATION MAY SIGNIFICANTLY AND NEGATIVELY AFFECT YOUR FIRM'S CHANCES OF RECEIVING AN AWARD.

UPDATE 6/28/2018  This notice updates the solicitaiton to delete references to "thrie beam guardrail" for both bridges.  The existing guardrails for both bridges are standard double beam.  There is no change to the due date and time for quotes.

This update posts the RFQ for this project. 

Quoters are reminded to review the quote submission requirements contained in Section L of the RFQ.  Failure to follow the instructions may seriously jepoardize your firm's potential for award.

Quotes are due no later than 1:00 p.m., Friday June 29, 2018.

This presolicitation notice is for replacement of two Government Furnished Bridges - one each on Forest Service Roads 8534 (milepost .215) and 8516 (milepost 1.049).

The existing structure on Road 8534 is a 70' steel bridge and the same 70' steel bridge will be reinstalled with a new foundation.  The existing structure on Road 8516 is a 55' log stringer bridge and is being replaced with a 60' modular bridge located on Road 8508 (MP 8.8).  The contractor will be responsible for transporting the 60' modular bridge to the new location.  Work also includes the following - remove and dispose of existing embankment soil material, supply and prepare material including various sized fill rock and rip rap for all necessary embankment construction and approach roadway grading, properly install all substrate elements including standard spread footing, abutments and bridge backwalls, place and connect bridge elements in their proper fashion and location, and grade approach roads to match new bridge elevations.  Contractor supplied approach rails, four (4) object markers and posts at bridge ends are also required.

A bid guarantee will not be required with submission of quotes.

The estimated value of this requirement is between $100,000 and $250,000.

The government is providing a copy of the signed drawing package along with the Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (supplement to FP-14) with this presolicitation noitce for awareness.  Quotes are expected to be due within 2 weeks of posting of the RFQ.  The required completion date is currently anticiapted to be this calendar year.
