High Resolution 1-foot Digital Orthoimagery
The U. S. Geological Survey, Geospatial Information Office has a
requirement for high-resolution 1-foot digital orthoimagery covering
an area of approximately 2,460 square miles over the Little Rock
Metropolitan Area. USGS has the opportunity to obtain all this
orthoimagery from Pulaski Area GIS at 40% of the cost of the entire
project because other agencies and local governments will contribute
the remaining funds for this project. Imagery requirements are as
follows: Public domain 1-foot deliverable product that covers the
identified area in the attached footprint; True Natural Color with
horizontal accuracy that meets or exceeds 4 meters at a 90% confidence
level; NAD 83 Datum; UTM Projection, 15 North meters; Geotiff with
accompanying world (TWF) file; USGS high-resolution DOQQ requirement.
Imagery will be collected during the Spring of 2009 and shall be
delivered by December 31, 2009. Based on information available at this
time, the government considers the item specified as a sole source
from Pulaski Area GIS, 221 E. Capitol Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72202
and proposes to negotiate with that firm only. However, should
additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who
feel that they can furnish the required services and provide
considerable cost sharing are invited to submit in writing an
affirmative response to this announcement, and such other materials
which correspond to the required item stated herein. This information
will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities
exist. Since no solicitation document exists, requests for such
documents without accompanying information will be considered a non-
response to this request without further consideration. Affirmative
response shall be received by this office by close of business May 21,
2009 by 3:00 P.M. Mountain Standard Time. This notice represents the
Government's only official notice of this procurement.
